HOME IS WHERE ALL YOUR ATTEMPTS TO SCAPE CEASE

 

Project made during the Fresh A.I.R at Urban Nation Berlin.

 

This project tries to reflect, through a photo series, something increasingly common in our societies -and heavily intensified during the last lockdowns-: Our relation with the outside world through electronic devices, our deferred presence in outdoor spaces. These devices seem like a safe cabin to travel to the exterior, a portable home, a ship towards a technologically mediated reality. With this ironic title based on Omar Taher’s quote, “Home is where all your attempts to escape cease”, the project, makes an indirect reference to the new instruments of control and surveillance as the new forms of biopolitics.
