A Dreamscape Cartography" is a piece of Desktop 3D Art, constructed through mobile
scans and navigated via Blender. Part of a collective project in Nicosia, Cyprus, it revisits
the dream incubation ritual from classical times, aiming to connect inner realms with
virtual environments. These settings bridge imaginal dimensions with physical territories
and bodies, offering spaces of psychic and somatic continuity and acceleration.
The work features scans of abandoned houses and ruins from Cyprus's Buffer Zone,
deserted since 1974. The video establishes a dreamlike flow, interweaving spaces from
both sides of the island and integrating various objects and artworks, creating a new ritual
space and inspiring a desire to reimagine existence.
With scans of performers Maria Tsitroudi and Maria Constanti, Greek and Egyptian
sculptures from the Louvre, and a voice-over of texts by Paul Celan, the piece uncovers
an interface between imaginal dimensions, aspiring to integrate them into lived
experience.
